The Chirang district administration celebrated District Day with great fervour on Monday on 30th October, 2023.The programme was started with Prabhat Pheri playing across all the district through the Mobile Publicity System.This was followed by friendly football match , cleanliness drive and smriti tarpan in the office premises of the District Commissioner, Chirang and inauguration of development works.District Day was ceremonially celebrated at the District Parade Ground, Kajalgaon.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Hon'ble Minister of Handloom and Textiles, Sericulture, Soil Conservation and Welfare of Bodoland department, Assam and Guardian Minister of Chirang Shri Urkhao Gwra Brahma along with distinguished Guests Hon'ble Rajya Sabha Shri Rwngwra Narzary, Shri Jayanta Basumatary, Hon'ble MLA of 31 Sidli (ST) LAC, Dr.U.N. Bora, IAS, Former Deputy Commissioner, Chirang, Shri P. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, IAS District Commissioner, Chirang, Shri Abhishek Jain, IAS SDO (C), Bijni and Mr. Dawe Penjor, Secretary, BIFA, Galegphu, Bhutan and other officer's and staff's.
